Default transmission problem.... speedo cable

I bought a borg warner regular t-5 transmission last week rebuilt. I put it in fine but where you are supposed to put the speedo gear in, nothing is there but a hole. you can stick your finger in the hole and it touches a wall inside the tranny. I dont know what is supposed to go there, im guessing another gear that meets the speedo cable gear? can anyone help me out...? Everything else works fine and shifts smooth.

look up in there with a LIGHT ..if not there it came off ,,or was left off...they got a little clip that holds it on...,,your going to have to take the tail housing off ...also got to take shifter out ,,to get roll pin out ,,so it can come off...
