Default 2 kinda odd question's ive been thinking about.

WHATS UP!?

ok, so cleaned my MAF, and filter today for shiz and giggles.

was thinking about some stuff, and want opinion's.

1.) Would it be "safe" to run a BBK filter (the huge type that sit's in the engine bay) with NO OIL, just the paper?

i dont like the idea of cleaning my MAF, IAC and sea foaming the intake 2-3times over the next couple mounth's just to deal with the stupid oil.

and another goofy *** question.

2.) what would be the loss/gain of running a OEM upper and lower intake manifold on my setup?

My typhoon has 1 snaped off bolt, and one stripped one, it seal's fine, but im afraid to pull the intake again as i think im just going to break more sh*t!

I want a edlebrock intake (stricktly for the reson that they have a BAD *** nitrous plate that bolts in between the upper and lower) but i wont have the money for it ANYTIME soon

opinion's and such would be awesome.

thank's!

P.S. how do you like my new signature pic?
(not all fuzzy and crap like my last pic.)

just leave the intake on if it's not causing an issue at present and the filter thing, sure it'll work fine with no oil.

i ran mine with out oil and it was a bbk, i thing the oil make it filter finer particles so i figured it would be atleast as good as stock without it, but i have been wrong before

i need to install my header's and i was gonna re-torque my head bolt's while i was at it, so i was gonna pull the upper intake.....

the upper is the one with the striped bolt.

i like Profesinal product's Typhoon intake, but the lame bolt's and weak threads are my only complant's.

well i always clean mine.

back when i first got the car i had a bad stumble, stutter and such, cleaned my MAF and it almost cleared all of it up, i finally replaced my 02's and that fixed it.

so yes, i believe cleaning your MAF can make a difference, i clean mine every few mth's.

buy MAF cleaner spray at walmart or any part's store. just be careful with the sensor its self.
