I put a fuel filter on it a new fuel presurer reg on it . cleaned the throttle body. changed the idle air senser, the throttle position senser, o2 sencers, temp sencer. I made sure the breather hose for the gas tank wasn't mashed. I even un hooked the hose where the senser at the charcole can is still nothing. I checked the EGR valve, Replaced the EGR silenoid The only thing that I haven't done is change the fuel pump. I just looked at it to see if there was any trash in the pump or tank. Ignition system? You could be dumping too much fuel for some reason

Please list all of your modifications - MAF, injectors, etc.

Sounds to me like your injectors are dumping a little bit too much fuel at low-moderate duty cycles. What psi is your fuel set to at idle with vacuum disconnected?

What all did you do to the motor? Just throw a stroker kit in? Stock cam, stock injectors, stock MAF, stock throttle body, etc?

Some auto parts stores will read codes for free (autozone, pep boys, possibly others).

What happens if you unplug the MAF? It should go into limp mode or something, but if the MAF is bad (and you may just need to clean it) and you remove it from the equation the car should at least run and idle ok. I wouldn't recommend wailing on it in limp mode. Do you have access to another MAF (even if it's just a stock one) to test with?

You might try checking resistance of your plug wires (or do a visual check). I had one 1/2 melted through that was intermittantly grounding to my header (in the truck). I just noticed you replaced the wires, so maybe this isn't the problem. Did you use a good cap/rotor or a cheapie from Schuck's? When did the problem start? Before the major tune up stuff was done?

And you haven't answered my question about what all have you done to the motor.

Which MAF:
Size injectors:
Cam:
Heads:
Intake manifold:
Throttle Body:

To me it sounds like an electrical problem. If you've got a really good buddy who'll let you strip his Stang I recommend swapping out parts (coil, distributor, etc.) until you see something amiss.
