AFR's are proven to make more power.
you can gain like 80hp.
the same as a 4psi supercharger.
I think the afr's are much worth it.
edelbrock victor heads are good, but you need a victor5.0 intake,
and a cam that matches the rpm range.

Actually, AFR does offer race heads, the 205s and the 225s are race heads, you can run them on the street I guess but they are considered race heads. Sorry I didn't mean to steal the post on that subject... as for your question I think for the most part they are a good reliable head with HUGE power gains, I haven't heard a bad thing about them yet. One more thing about the AFR 165s and 185s, I was reading last night in the new issue of 5.0 mustangs and super fords that the small block ford heads just became the most popular and most purchased heads.

Well the reason is seen after looking at a set of Edelcrocks and AFR's, believe me.. I just purchased my 165cc AFR heads after looking at Edelbrocks. I pretty much got out of the whole thing, Edelbrock heads are a good aluminum head, but are expensive, and you can gain WAY more HP with a set of AFR's... I was also told that Edelbrock heads are mostly weight savings, and the only good head Edelbrock makes is the Vic Jr.'s...

My bro just put on his AFR's.. Went from a 14.8 to a 13.7... Like was said AFR>Edelbrocks/All
