here's the thing. i was planning on using my stock block and bore it to a 347 . it currently has 54,312 miles on it. but after hearing that a 347 guzzles oil then i guess i have no other option but to go 377. but you are right bigger is better.

What the hell is a 377? With a properly built 347 you will not have to worry about oil burning issues. Many members have had great success with 347's from Woody at Fordstrokers.com. From what I've found his combos make great power and his customer service is amazing. He's kind of become the go to guy for SBF stroker kit across many Mustang internet boards. There is a reason why he has a 4 month waiting list for his motors.

you need a aftermarket block to get 377 cubes....if you are using your stock block 347 is what you'll get, if you plan to twin turbo on top of that, shelf the stock block idea.

How much do you want to spend?

Old wives tale from the first 347's

This will require an aftermarket block and them why stop at 377?

Not hard to build a 500hp 347 from ots parts. You better build a good car to handle it. Twin turbo cars are finiky and hard to keep in tune.

if you plan to turbo the car, leave the motor a 302. the turbo(s) alone will be enough to split your block in two. a stock block cant go to 377, plan on spending good money on a stroker kit and a block if you want to turbo it
