want to build an 11 second 5.0
hey this is my first post over here, i am interested in buying a 5.0 mustang. It will have high miles on it. I would like to make it an 11 second car. What should i do to achieve a reliable 11 second car? Thanks in advance!

You are going to need alot of stuff..
Either a full engine build or a supercharger/turbo kit and alot of praying.. haha
A top end kit (Heads, Cam, Intakes, Throttle body, injectors, fuel pump) and those types of things will get you pretty quick if you have the supporting suspension but I think you'll need to build a block or get a power adder to get in the 11's.

347 Stroker kit (10.1+)
AFR 185 or Trick Flow 185 heads (or new 190 Fast as cast)
Comp Cams XE282HR cam
Holley HP Street750 double pumper
Edelbrock RPM air gap port matched and opened up just a little.
1.75 Longtube headers
Good ignition system
Supporting engine parts
4:10 gears
Subframe connectors
beefed up torque boxs
Drag radials
Good driver

I'd let a large "black" man do foul things to me for a set of AFR 205's. If I could go back to the beginning of my engine build up, I would have bought a set of AFR 205's. Didn't really know as much about them back then as I do now. I see now that you can take the 205's and still upgrade in displacement and be OK. Hind sight is 20/20
