i have read all these post and i have never got a real solution. here is my problem....the car ran fine then all of the sudden it started running like crap. it will not go above 3k. i can hold the pedal to the floor and it garbles and backfires. but it runs fine till i get to the 3k mark.but it will rev up fine in park. i did a fuel pressure test and i seems fine.(sits at 35-40) i has new plugs and wires. new cap and rotor,fuel filter,tps,throttlebody, egr valve.mass air..i tryed to run codes but when i hooked it up to the plug under the hood the code reader wont work...please give me your two cents..could it be the computer.its stock

i cant set it..i got a bbk throttle body..but i did test it and it was at 8-9right where it should be

ok after i sent that i realized that you said it revs fine in park. it sounds like a sensor of some sort but not sure. i am not gonna be able to help you there. sorry man!

Did you move the distributor ? Perhaps the timing is now retarded.

Mine is doing something similar...about 3500. My fuel pressure is at 32 until I rev it up and then it drops to 28. When I let off it wil go up a little above 32. When I unhook the vacuum it goes to 40 at Idle. I'm also thinking the ignition module may be taking a digger?
Have you changed yours yet? Mine is also not throwing any codes??
I did test the coil and it is just a little low on the secondary resistance.
