How often do you hear about rear shock tower braces? Barely ever, for one reason, they don't do anything besides make someone money. The front strut tower braces improve your handling and rigidity because the front struts take alot of the force in the suspension. The spindles are directly attached to them and the LCA. In the rear however, your four control arms and springs take 99% of the force going through the suspension. In other words your frame is what takes the abuse, not the shock mounts. Besides, the rear shocks have a floor between them and a whole body around them, the front struts have a huuuuge hole in between that houses the motor.

If you want to stiffen the rear of your car, get subframes for now... and eventually if u stick with the whole car thing, you want a cage.

I agree full length subframe connectors are the way to go. While you have out the welder reinforce the torque boxes while your at it. Make sure the connectors you buy have a seat brace too. My floor pan is all cracked due to not having them on it. Live and learn.

Your floor pans cracked from not having the seat braces in? That doesn't sound right, how could not having the braces there put that much stress in the floorpans of the car. Were your subs not welded in properly? I hope your suspension was loaded when they were installed.

One of my front seat mounts ripped because the previous owner and myself are pretty big. After constant getting in and out it just tore the sheet metal a slight bit around the front stud. Nothing some welding skills can't fix, in fact now its stronger. I also had to weld the seat track back together, but it's all good. But as for the floor cracking... that sounds like a combo of rust and jumpin in that seat.

how? that makes no sense..... it wouldn't crack the floor pan for not having the seat brackets on them.... if it did no one would buy them.
