Default 306 build

I pulled the 302 in my 83 hatchback this week. im dropping it off to the machine shop today. now im gonna do 30 over and forged pistons with an E cam and GT40P. im going to have the heads shave 40 thousands. il have a 5 angle valve job done and matching springs for the cam and roller rockers 1.6. now what im wondering is a ruff guess on how much power ill make on the crack and what the compression ration may be at.
Thanks

depends on the GT40P heads that you have. There are two different compustion chamber sizes that are out there. And stay away from that E Cam, Get a TFS stage 1 or a comp XE274HR. Also make sure you upgrade valve springs and have the spring rates matched and set.

I say all this and I assume the engine from your car is not the original engine because the 83 block was not a Hyd. Roller cam engine, The E-Cam along with the others I listed are for Hydro Lifters. So if its not, you will also need to purchase Hydro lifters with link bars.

why not run a tlsr? if it is adjusted right you might not have to pull the covers for 6 months to a year..it's not hard if you pay attention..

you are determined on an older block, and that is cool..but a good set of hyd linkbars will be pushing $543.00

the tfs stage 1 or a comp 274hr might not be what you need nor are looking for out of
your engine either.

what are the goals?
how are you going to drive it?
auto/manual?
carb/efi?<trust me a cam designed for an efi car would not be advisable for a carb engine ofcourse it will work, but is it "right"?

if you are having it machined/converted to hydraulic...i have everything from my old motor in boxes...including 500 miles lifters

i want roughly 320-350 horse on the crank.
Il drive it at least every weekend if not more.
Right now its a 4 speed i think im gonna do a c6 though.
Its Carb.
And im not gonna do the E cam im gonna stay with the flat tappet to try and save some money. The only reason im using this block is because its what was in my car

yes that kit will work for your car, but you also have to plan your build for future modifications.
