Default Will a ported intake work well with unported heads?

I got a good deal on an RPM2 intake that was already ported to a felpro gasket. Not fully decided on what heads to get yet but im kind of on a budget and probably wont port the heads if i dont have to. The thing is some guys tell me that having unported heads with a ported intake will screw up the airflow and cause a power loss. Others tell me it should be perfectly fine. Any input appreciated

The fact that the intake is ported to match a gasket shouldn't matter.. What will matter the most is how good the heads you choose match the intake.. That is a good flowing intake which would need a good flowing head to have an efficient combo.. But in my opinion, no the fact that the intake is gasket matched will not hurt your power.. But whatever heads you get, you should look into getting them port matched to the intake for better performance..

if the port holes dont line up it will create a ton of turbulance...you deff arent helping yourself....

i'd at least yank the heads off and port patch the heads to the gasket so it will at least flow smoothly.
