Default Cheap Motor

Whats the best way to get the most performance out of a cheap motor? This 302 isnt really cutting it...Id like to get a BOSS 302 or possibly a 331 Stroker but i dont really want to spend more than $2000 MAYBE $3000...I know this is pretty general, but any help that could be provided would be much appreciated

You won't find a real running Boss 302 motor for less than $10k, so eliminate that idea...

something is fishy. you claim 320hp from a 82 302 but its not cutting it........very doubtful

thats what the guy who sold me the car claimed so i went with that, im not 100% sure thats what it is...and its probly closer to 250 :P

Sooo if i could find a rebuilt 302 Motor...what cam/head/etc combination would work to get around 350HP considering i already have an Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake, Edelbrock 600CFM Carb, Equal Length Headers on the way, and true dual 2.5" Catback exhaust.

Im thinking about going with the GT40 Turbo Swirl Aluminum Heads...What Cam/Roller Rockers/Pushrods etc combo would give me good performance? I dont care about emissions... Thanks for any help.

Hrmm..i want to go carbureated...do you have a link to this motor?

I was thinking about just getting a low mileage 302 and rebuilding it with some better pistons, heads, cam, rockers, etc. A list of parts for a motor would be nice if one of the gurus could throw one together real fast

Thanks again
