WD 40 does stand for water displacement number 40, there were 40 different formulas manufactured by a company in california for nasa, not the military. nasa went to this company (who later changed their name to wd-40), for them to find a mixture that would help against rust and would also lubricate parts and so after 39 different formulas, the 40th was the one and it worked so well the company changed it's name and began only selling wd-40.
hey did you ever consider that you may have might have a hole in one of your plug wires? one of the easiest ways i have found to determind if there is a hole in a wire is to take a good, 3' piece of wire attach one end to your negative terminal on the battery and the other end to a screw driver and run the tip of the screw driver over your wires, if you have a hole in one of your wires then you will see the arc between the wire and the screw driver. i pressure washed mine to and it started miss firing, so i did this little trick, drank a few beers and went and bought new ones.
