some of u may have read this from the general tech page but those of u who dont, i bought an 89 LX project car today, it was missing a hood and tail lights but the guy i bought it from had extra and gave them to me for free! the car has been weathered it was parked outside so its rusting on the front fenders but its not weak so i hope i can sand it down, some bondo has been applied and all the paint sanded. ill have pictures soon its nothing special yet just a PROJECT car

RE: NEW (old) CAR
I bought my 89 GT for $2000...battery didn't work and I have pretty much taken the old rotting broken parts off and replaced them...sanding isn't too bad...as long as you have a drill you can replace the head part with a cleaning wheel....let the drill do the work and you'll have it sanded down...then just put some primer or rustoleum on to protect it from rust again...if you need any parts I still have some from my 89

RE: NEW (old) CAR
i got the car to my house tonight, plans are make it a strip/street car, not daily driver tho, 408 stroker, rear seat delete, (possibly roll cage), racing seats, gauge clusters, but before all that body work making the lines line up like fastpony said, i already have the drill sander just gonna do some sanding bondo primer to prevent rust

RE: NEW (old) CAR
I bought my car for $2,383.00 back in late february of this year, it had 140,000 miles on it. The motor ran very smooth, the tranny shifted shifted awesomely, it had a brand new top on it, the interior is awesome and the paint isn't bad either. It had a few things that needed to be fixed on it like the speedometer but overall it just needed a full tuneup, and that full tune up REALLY woke up the 5.0, you can't tell that it's got 141,000 miles on it. I love the car to death and I got it at a VERY good price. After monday it will be a "certified" daily driver. I get my rear window fixed that day (the bottom part of my rear window came deattached from the vinyl on the 'vertible top).
