Default Lowering 88 GT with stock springs

If I wanted to lower my GT by cutting the stock springs, how would I know how much to take off?

cut a little at a time and reinstall them and see where yer at. then if ya want more drop take them out and cut a little more off. make sure ya take equal amounts off each side or it will lean. most will say not to do it just buy lowering springs

ride quality suffers when chopping stock springs

not to mention, winter driving is going to be a bitch when you cant put your car back up to stock ride height

I suggest not cutting the stock, I just bought a 90lx with stock cut springs and it absolutely rides like ***. I rounded up some stock springs to install this weekend. The car with the cut springs is not safe to drive, and constatnly bottoms out, even on the smallest bumps.
heres a pic, It looks good but its not worth the ride.
