Default Detonation at idle.

Wife's '86 GT (MAF conversion,X303 Cam,Edelbrock upper & lower, etc) recently ran out of fuel. When she put more fuel in it and started it, it's detonating and running very rough, like it has a vaccuum leak. i found a vaccuum leak on it (upper intake gasket),and cleaned out the injectors. put it back together, same thing. it's showing 50PSI at the fuel rails, MAF sensor is clean, firing order is correct...this just has me completly stumped now. i sprayed the whole motor down with carb cleaner and there's not one single vaccuum leak. Anyone have any ideas? it also has a MSD ignition with the timing retarder on it.

pull plug wires one by one until you find the dead cylinder, then from there check plug, wire and compression on cylinder

so far i've replaced:

TFI Module
Dist. Cap
Mass air meter

STILL doing it. i don't get it. everything is fine. no vaccuum leaks. nothing. when i rev it, it hits on all cylinders and sounds great, but the idle hangs really high.

i've also cleaned the IAC valve...

if it ran out of gas the pick up screen in the tank could of sucked up a bunch of crap on the bottom of the tank

Bout to drop the tank right now...i know the injectors were horribly clogged (even found a shard of glass in one of them). If anyone can think of anything else any input is greatly appreciated
