Connect the IAC, start the car and check if revs go lower..... if it goes high and drops, recheck by disconnecting it..... BTW... did you replace the IAC gasket?

yes i did replace the iac gasket, and its orientated like ur pic u have there. When i connect it revs go higher but a couple of hundred and a little down say a hundred rpm.

I'll let it run for 5 mins and pull codes. Cause right now the throttle screw isn't even being used lol. Grr this is aggravating lol it runs good i just want it to idle back under a 1000 is that so much to ask :P. Thx for the help anyways i'll repost once i pull codes and what not.

k i ran my vehicle for 20 mins. pulled key on engine off codes, got codes, 10, 11, 81, 82, 84.

Smog stuff deleted, egr deleted w/that resistor.
Also note while it was running idled at 1300 , for ****'s and giggles i unplugged iac and no change, plugged it back in didn't notice a change either. Also is there a posting for engine codes so i can look them up ?

EEC Codes Definitions...... do the following, remove air duct from the TB and disconnect MAF, start engine, notice if you hear a lot of air going through the IAC front transfer hole inside the TB + check the TB blade position. If the idle speed stays high, partially plug the IAC transfer hole with your finger and check if the idle speed drops. LUK

i'll try that tonight, thx for the help with the code page. Code 84 saying egr circuit failure, will that harm drivability? I thought with that resistor plugged in i should be getting code 33? I'll get back to you with the other checks u've informed me to do

Nope.... it won't cause any driveability issues.

K i have returned lol. I did what you asked, removed the cold air intake, unplugged maf, unplugged iac tried starting took awhile to get it to idle once it did, did not hear loud whistling, but for some reason this time got it to idle at 800 rpm. Nothing was changed other then the fact i unplugged maf sensor.

Totally unreleated question about serp belt tensioners, I only run alt, waterpump, crank. Automatic tensioner no good anymore, but i noticed some guys have that adjusting rod from the alternator to water pump i believe? where would i find one of those? I'm thinking that will cure my belt problem.
