Default VIPER ALARM PROBLEM

I have a 1993 Ford Mustang GT and I use viper alarm on my vehicle and now it is not working. There is a red light above the cd player face that used to blink once the alarm is activated, now it is in a solid lighted state once the key is out of the ignition. The red light wont shut off unless the key is in the ignition and turned on. Also I don't hear the "alarm sound" when I lock the car door with the keyless lock. On the keyless lock I have 2 options, option 1- locks and unlocks vehicle, option 2- disables/enables the sound of alarm (when you lock and unlock the vehicle) Can anybody help me out on how I can fix this without taking it to the shop. Thank you in advance.

That is the problem, I don't know where to begin to reset it. Also, I don't even know what model it is. The previous owner didn't mention anything about the alarm. I appreciate you taking the time to help out though!

you have the alarm in valet mode, it basically turns the alarm off and makes it a keyless entry so that your valet would not set it off.

either turn the key on, push the red momentary push button under the dash and hold it until you turn the key off.

or you can open a door, push button one, push button two and then one again. The lights should flash 2 times and the siren should beep to confirm that it is out of valet mode.

I tried the keyless entry one and that didnt work. When I go under the dashboard, I see a red light but there is no button to push. I am getting lost now and its really starting to make me mad. I was doing research about that Valet mode, and I am still trying to figure something out. Once again I appreciate the help!

with each alarm there is a small momentary push button but it is up to the installer if it is installed. It is normally hidden up under the dash and could even be wire-tied to a wire harness up in the dash.

Again open your door, make sure you dome light comes on and leave the door open. push button 1 for a second(count 1 thousand - doors should lock, lights flash once), button 2 for a sec(again count 2 thousand - the car will not make any noise or flashes), and then again push button 1. On the third push the led should turn off and I think the siren will beep one time while it unlocks and disarms.

The alarm works now. With daylight, I was able to find the Valet Button to reset the alarm! Thank you for the help.
