Default will this trickflow twisted wegde top end work with a 347 stroker?

well I bought this stroker mustang locally and it doesn't have the best top end, so i was looking and i think a trick flow top end package ( http://store.summitracing.com/partde...B&autoview=sku ) based around the twisted wedges, would be the best top end. My question is, will this top end kit work with the stroker? Ive seen some stroker shortblocks marked that they dont work with the twisted wedge designs. The stroker kit is a DSS kit. Trying to learn these 5.0's and strokers, compatibility and everything so thanks for your time, help and understanding

This kit is designed for a 302 and will not meet the full potential of a 347. The real issue is these are Twist Wedge heads and if you do not have the pistons clearance for these heads you will run into PTV issues and the piston will need to be fly cut. Do you know what part # the pistons are that are in the engine?

no, I actually just looked em up and I will be getting the DSS twist wedge pistons if i get the top end. What would need to be done to the trick flow set to live up to a 347, or what other top end build should i get? Im fine with mixing brands, but i just figured the trickflow kit that is based around maxing the twist wedge potential would be a good set.

TFS TW's 190 FAC heads, a custom CI cam and a TFS box intake.

Alright I am going with the TW heads, R series (but not box) intake and cams. Also, how would this combo work in a stock 302? My father wants to keep his as a 302, and was wondering if this combo would be too much for a 302? thanks for the help too guys

Heads are smallish for a 347, but fine for a 302. The R series if fine for a 347, but not a 302.

R heads on a302 would be fine if you had the fuel, intake, and cam to support them. Granted this would not be a stock short block application.

He's talking an R series intake, not heads.

Same goes, if you had the heads, cam, and fuel to support you can put it on a 302.
