How to get 500hp out of a 347
#3
Its possible N/A. anythign is possible with enough money. ha. easiest way is to get a good h/c/i combo and stick a blower on it. my friend had trick flows with Gt40 intake with a vortec at 13 pounds making just under 5. with meth injections he goes way over

Step one: New Block...
I hope you plan on using a Iron Eagle block or a Boss Block or something of the sort. The stock configuration becomes very weak at the 500hp mark.
PM Portmaster, he has a 581hp N/A 347. Maybe he can give you some pointers on what you need to use. I believe he is using Trickflow heads and a carb setup.

Portmaster is gone from here, plus he never had proof that's what his made just what the desktop dyno said it should be.......he was using eddy heads too.

with that set up you'll be lucky to hit 325-340 rwhp...what you need would be a well built 347 bottom end, a stock pluck might be at it's outer limits but with a well tune it could survive but to be safe I'd go aftermarket and get a solid roller designed up for the cam, some TFS 190CC FAC heads, and a victor jr intake with a 750 carb from Biggs performance or pro systems and some custom 1 3/4 lt's and have the valvetrain setup right and hold on, if that doesn't come close to your goal I'd be suprised
