dyno tune
ok i bought my car from a fox body ford nut and i just wanted to know if i need to get a dyno tune and what that really is
its a 302 bored over .030 to make 306, gt40alum heads, e303 cam, ford pistons, 9:1 compression i think, 1.6 rr, cobra up/low intake, 75mm bbk throttle body, mac fender intake, stock 19lb injectors, accufab fuel press reg, 225lph fuel pump, new t5, alum drive shaft, 3.55 in the rear not sure if im missing anything important if i am let me know
do i need to get tuned and what does a tune actually do? and is it a aftermarket chip plugged in my computer and tuned?

does it run like **** or something? a dyno shows ur cars hp/tq levels threw a simulated driving scenario,,people usually get them to tune there cars... by this i mean adjust settings either manually of via computer connection, there are programs they sell which allow you to plug a laptop computer into the cars computer and run programs to gather useful information,,fuel maps, spark tables, boost and adjust and (tune) the setting accordingly. megasquirt is one off the top of my head, and as far as "is this an after market chip plugged into my computer" idk why dont u pull the numbers off the chip and type them into Google and u will find out what it is...if its after market then im sure it is flashed with a tune for your car.

i thought the whole point of a tune/chip for the car was to have everything tweaked for the best numbers
im knew to all this ive only used computer tuners on brand new vehicles and used a high octane tune, and gave the mod list to the manufacturer for a custom tune
no the car runs great, i havent had it dynod before so i dont know what numbers im putting down, but i was just wondering if there was a need for a tune/chip

i dont understand why u would think there was a need for a tune if the car runs excellent and ur satisfied with it.. if ur curious of what kind of numbers it puts down go put it on the dyno. oh and the reason for a tune is to get the best numbers possible.........................
