so is the motor you got a 347?? cause a 347 is often a .030 overbore with 3.4 crank and 5.315 rods or 5.4 rods

ask the guy what stroke he was running because a .060 overbore and a 3.4 stroke makes a 352ci something does not does right from this person. A .030 bore makes a 347.

If it's just the block, it's not a 347. The stroke of the crank, the bore diameter and rod length determine the cubic inches. It sounds like you've got a plain old .060 over 302 block. It's probably not worth much being it's .060 over already.

why wouldnt it be worth much ive read that you can make some decent numbers with a .060 over bore

Have it sonic checked before you throw money at it..... just a thought.

Again, have it sonic checked before you spend anything else.

I say that because .060 is the max you can go with a 302 (without asking for trouble), so you have no room if the cylinders need any work. I would have a machine shop check the taper with a bore guage before anything. If the taper is out of spec, the block is junk, cause it's already at it's max. If the taper checks out good, have a sonic check done. If that checks out good, you got a good deal (free)!
