koeo results not right?
hey guys, I've been having problems with my 95 svt recently having problems starting. After going through 2 coils in 2 months I'd like to fix the problem instead of just trying to change random parts hoping it works. I had a code scanner hooked up and my car wouldn't allow the scanner to read anything. It would give it data but not a diagnostic. Also it was saying signal return was opening and closing when it should have just done one or the other(The person I had doing the test was a mechanic and told me thats all he could find out).
I figured I might as well try to do the self test with the jumper wire and see what I could get as codes out of the check engine light.
I think somethings wrong because the place I found out how to do this said since my car is a 95 it should be all 3 digit codes but these are what I got
1111
111
223
122
24
The second time I tried after it stopped flashing the cel I tried again and got
1111
111
112
171
56
then since It changed I tried a 4th time and again got different numbers again
1111
111
115
615
7
the only ones that stayed the same were the first 2 codes.
does this seem right to anyone or did I mess up while reading it? Also any ideas on why the code reader wouldn't read anything?
thanks in advance for any advise
I really have no knowledge in auto electronics. the furthest I usually go is stereos so sorry for being so lost on this

Need to redo the test, SN95 setups are 3-digit EEC systems... not 4, 3 and then 2. Check the video clips showing a sample of a KOEO in a SN95 at http://sbftech.com/index.php/topic,2471.0.html or check the clip described below.....

These are the results of a KOEO self-test using the CEL to read the flash patterns in a SN95 or the 3-digit codes pattern. If you watch, you'll see the following codes show up:
116 (OD codes first pass) - delay - 116 (OD codes second pass)
After those 2 sets, a 6 sec delay then 1 flash (= separator code 10) followed by another 6 second delay. Then the two passes corresponding to the CM codes:
181 - 189 - 211 - 212 - 543 - 556 - delay - 181 - 189 - 211 - 212 - 543 - 556

is there anyway I can check this or am I going to have to have a shop do this?
also by the ICM you meant the Ignition control module right? Could that be why I'm going through coils?
and also are there ways of having just the computer tested since I can't pull the codes with a scanner?

I just tried to make a video and it wont take videos longer than 17 seconds so I have to wait until tomarrow to get a new memory card. If I can find a camara I will post the video sooner

I found a camera.
I don't know how to post it straight to here but heres the direct link
also should the radiator fan be turning on before the test starts?
