It seems that it's posible for anybody just to run a shorter belt but I'm not sure! If you try it and are successful can you send me a message explaining how you did it?

its basicly just ran like a big V...over the alt. then goes to under the water, then over to around the p/s, then down around the crank and up to the alt. yes it would work...but the only thing i dont like, is that it has barely anyroom for a tensioner.....

Mstngsule68 are you running your belt like that?? If you are what size belt are you using and has it ever given you any problem with falling off?

I bought the ac eliminator kit which moved the ps pump up to where the compressor was. I also eliminated the air pump. Will the water pump still spin correctly and work with this setup? I saw someone with a pic of the same setup in an older mustang :1970.It's tough getting a belt to fit without the tensioner hitting the water pump pulley. I ended up using a 77 inch 6 rib belt after like five trips to autozone.
