I've had excellent results from sandblasting with one of those cheap little backpack style blasters. If there's a problem associated with that, I haven't run into it yet. You just have to be sure and clean things good afterwards.

Yea thats one way to get rid of carbon!<img border="0" src= smileys/smiley3.gif> If you go that way, protect your mounting surfaces and valve gudies if they are still in. But the whole idea kind of sacres me.<img border="0" src= smileys/smiley11.gif>
