Default headers!!!!

i put on a pair of bbk shorties and i think their leaking exhaust. i have a new h-pie and flowmasters and it's hard to tell but i hear a fint ticking noise when i'm accelerating from a stop. my dad thinks it's a valve but i think it's the damn headers. i just rebuilt the engine so it can';t be a valve, least i hope not. i might threadlock the headers but any suggestions?

Currently my smog pump blows out to atmosphere and it makes a ticking noise. Just an idea.

Make sure all the bolts are tight, too. Also, if you removed the spark plugs to make installation easier, make sure none of them are loose as well...

if you used paper gaskets for the headers, then you need to tighten the bolts every time you change your oil. if you have the good gaskets that crush with the pressure of the bolts ( can't think of the material off the top of my head, but i've used them :P ), then they should be fine.
