Default fuel filter replacement...?

can anyone fill me in on the process of replacing a fuel filter step by step and the location of the fuel filter itself? I also want to know what tools I would need.

Its underneith the car, in front of the gas tank. You dont need much but a flat head screw driver to pull the clips off and pull the hoses off either side of the fuel filter.

Also, if you want to do it "by the book", you will want to relieve fuel system pressure to avoid getting fuel everywhere.

How do you relieve the fuel system pressure?

unplug the inertia switch, then start it up and it will die almost immediatley, relieving the fuel pressure. The inertia switch is located in the the hatch area under the rear panel near the hatch striker(remove driver side portion). I wouldn't worry about breaking the retaining clips b/c the new filter should have some. Also, I would wear some safey glasses and get something to catch fuel. When your done, plug in inertia switch and press the button.
