And i never have ANY problems working on my cars, and they both of LT headers, one with MAC and one with BBK. One of my car has P heads too, and both of the headers fit on it no problem..

Long-tubes make it easier to work on.... Instead of having this big mess of piping in your engine bay, that looks a lot like a bowl of spaghetti, it will all go down, equaling out the length towards the trans. I had a set of Mac equals on my 302, put hooker longs on my 351, have twice as much space under the hood even with the wider engine. Can change all the plugs in 10 minutes, where-as, with my Macs... we won't even go there.

^^^maybe in your case but I just got rid of my 1 3/4 lt's on my 89 vert cause they covered the starter so you couldn't even get to it, was a real pain getting the starter out and to the bolts, I had to remove the headers first

[QUOTE=XPBaller;6388047]If you dont want longtubes because you already have headers, then why are you on here asking about headers, because you obviously already have them.... ??QUOTE]
I have 1 5/8 right now. Wanted to go bigger. I believe cj pony parts was making a 1 3/4 but they stopped a year or so ago so I was hoping to find someone else. Oh well. Guess I will just stick to 1 5/8

if you are running gt-40P heads... chances are REAL good that you arent making the power to justify a 1-3/4" header

Aha I guess that's true. Forgot about the starter, everything else is easier to work on though :P With my hookers I have to un-bolt the mount, jack up the engine, and pull the headers out to even see the starter :P Can have the headers out in a half hour now though... Had all sorts of starter problems after the motor/tranny swap, pulled the header 3 times, so comes out like butter now. Bought out north america in header gaskets for my headers... got the last two sets as they tear every time I take them off, and not enough room to put a REAL composite gasket in :\
