mass air conversion

Default mass air conversion

i could use some advice. i completed my conversion. connected the battery and fired the car up. it started to idle and is running extremely rich. it also will not take any gas. it always restarts but thats it. i have not adjusted anything. i am pretty sure i repinned the harness correctly but i am human. any advice is greatly appreciated.

Is the vac line still connected to your MAP sensor?

yes it is unplugged. i am going to chek my connecter to ensure all pins are making contact.

the sensor must be plugged in to the harness, but disconnected from vac

i only disconnected the vac line and left the port open but plugged the line.

run KOEO and see what codes you have

then try KOER

also, recheck your wiring... make sure you didnt FUBAR anything

i will check all my wiring tomorrow and run the test and see what happens. i really appreciate your advice. will let you know what i find. thanks.

this is where i stand now. after checking my connecter and correcting my mistake it fired up and will rev with no problem. it still runs rich and wont idle on its own. it starts to surge the dies. i can hold it at 800-900 rpms and idles fine just rich.

base idle reset

and if you have never changed your O2 sensors... now would be a good time to do it
