Why is my car shaking?
When i am driving and i put it in 3rd gear my steering wheel and front of the car shake a lot, but once i shift to 4th the shaking is gone. I Have new motor mounts and trans mounts. Also, When i am driving above 80 mph my car shake very bad, i don't know if its the fact that i am going over 80mph or my car has a problem. Any suggestions would help. Thanks

From my experience that is one of the only sources of major shaking on these cars. If your balancer is bad your engine is partially out of balance or in my case I pretty much had no weight to balance it. Things like motor mounts going out and tires being out of balance can cause shaking, but usually not major in most cases.

Before you start "guess". Narrow down your search.
If this is occuring at the same speed but in different gears. This says it's engine/flywheel related.
Ingore the gear and note the rpm. If it is the eng/flywheel, it should also vibrate in any gear at that rpm. Even nuetral.

To check the balancer just use a timing light. Just hook it up and check your timing, if your mark is nowhere to be found, you've spun the balancer. You can usually tell by looking at the rubber as-well. If it's broken, chances are your balancer has spun, but not always. Timing light is the best way.
