Default engine block

ok i just got a 351w block i wanna build up but i have some friends telling me that my 95gt 302 block is stronger than my 72 windsor block so could u all clear this up for me cause i wanting to stroke the windsor. so which is stronger the 351w or the 302?

It would make sense that a bigger displacement engine would have to be stronger than a smaller one, from the factory. A 393 would whoop on a 331, in general.

351W blocks have more webbing in the bottom of the block, so they are stronger. plus the displacement capabilities of the 351 alone should make it worth doin over the 302- 427 compared to 347

thanks alot i was wanting to build the 351 because of the idea of stroking it and getting almost big block power out it.....i have a friend that thinks he will smoke me with his 347 when were both done building our motors what do u all think?

You have the distinct advantage of knowing what his engine is. Now you can assuradely outbuild his...and smoke him.
