ok im removing the starter from my 89 5.0 cuz its messed but i cant get to the top bolt, ive alreayd done this job twice but i cant remember how to get to the top bolt to save my life, botoom one is off, can anybody help plz?

i a 1/4 drive ratchet and a extension the is aout 2ft long which puts the ratchet were the somg pump would be

go under the car. There's a hole in the body you can reach through. It's still tight but you can do it. I also struggled until i figured it out. Good luck

Nobody here believes in a wrench? 9/16" wrench is all I've ever used to take mine out.

if its that big of a pain , pull the header off. its just a few bolts and a gasket.

I've done this 2 ways. One is a pile of 3/8 drive extensions and a swivel socket. No, not a socket and a universal joint, but a swivel socket. Stick it all in at the front of the engine, right down by the engine mount.

Or I ask my son, who is taller than me but with long skinny arms. He reaches down from the top, right at the back of the cylinder head and easily wrenches it off.

i was rly close to just taking off the header i was so pissed i forgot how ive done it, but i remember i was on the bottom the whole time lol if i had a tubular k member i dont think this would be such of a bitch of a job lol
