Default Gears?

I have a 94 AOD-E, and am looking into geting gears. I have an appt to get my transmission overhauled and a shift kit installed, im going to do gears as well but am stuck in between 3.55 or 3.73. This is my daily driverbut i want to be able to romp every once in a while. Which would be a better gear ratio for a daily driver stang? My appt. is fri so any advice would much appreciated!!!

I have a 95GT with the same AODE as your 94. I installed 3.55 gears and I couldn't be happier. It realy helped wake up the car. I would probaly not go with the 3.73 gears since it is your daily driver. And I most definetly would not go with the 4.10 gear or you will wish you hadn't. Your motor will be turning like 5 grand at 70mph and that's not good.

Hey you, don't tell me I'm misleading..... I have 3.55 gears and my car turns about 2700 at 70mph. If I had went with the 4.10's the rpm would be significantly higer. Don't you dare tell this dude to go with the 4.10's cause he will be so disapointed. His car will only be good for doing donuts in an empty parking lot. If he has his mind set to go deeper than 3.55's he should go with the 3.73's but DEFINETLYnot the 4.10 gears. Mind your own business when you don't know what you're talking about. </P><edited><editID>jhogan2424</editID><editDate>37943.4498148148</editDate></edited>

dude dont get your panties in a bind. i have that set up in my 88 lx aod. car. with a 3000 stall. and have the correct speedo gear. the 410s cruise at around 2700 rpms at around 70mph. you might what to check the overall diameter of the wheels and tires you running. if your running 26inch diameter tires this is the correct settings. and aods lack acceleration so the steeper gears work better. if you dont beleieve this pick up the official ford mustang 5.0 handbook. it will tell you the same. and the 410s dropped my et alot. i leave the hole with slicks at around 3000 and pull hard as hell. so dont tell me i dont know what im talking about.
