Default Went to track, huge power loss

I just drove my car to the track and it was sounding rough and felt a lack of power. I ran it and ran a 15.3 on a car i get consistent high 13s on. theres a loud whistle by the intake somewhere, sounds like a bad vaccum leak. also i have a gt-40 tubular intake and there seems to be a slight crack on it where a piece of it attaches to one of the tubes. the car sounds fine up to 2000 rpm and then it sounds super loud and rough and crackling. falls on its face half way through 2nd gear. the vacc leak with the whistle has been there for a while and its still felt stronger and ran 13s until tonight. so idk if thats the issue

does this leak or crack sound like the issue? what should i look at? plz help thanks

i forgot one thing, my cars been idling high too. it will be around 15-1800 rpm. i adjusted it down today but it either acts like its gonna die, or it will jump back up regardless of what i set it to.

If you have a lot of air getting in after the maf it could cause this problem, and your idle is that high? yeah i'd say its your intake leak. where do you live now? and yes i live in sac

reno. ill be back down soon tho.

damn i knew there was a vacc leak, but it still ran strong. it would just idle super high. until yesterday, now it sounds like i gotta extreme cam in it and it has no power after 2-3k rpm. from what i can see, the gt40 intake passageway for the intake bolt is cracked away from the tube. and the whistle sounds to be coming from somewhere in the intake area. just cant track it down. is there a way to make sure?

i'm sure it's vac

but check a few other things too

is the spout back in ? don't laugh i forgot it once cuz i was messing w/ timing and all of a sudden the car was a second slower (maybe 1/2 sec i forget...long time ago)

are there any wires off ? make sure they all "click" on and none are burned

but the vac will rob mucho power

i found a plug wire loose today. the boot is all soft and nasty and breaking apart. so i put another wire on it, but the same problem exists. it sucks, it sounds super mean and rough but with no power. i know theres a vacc leak, but this has to be somethin new because it always ran fine. how do i run a test to see what vacc line is messed up? anything else i should look into?

plz help cuz i cant fig it out
