I know the factory air box is effective when you remove the silencer and add a k&n,but that is not stock and it was stated "stock car" not trying to argue just saying

well how alot of ppl describe a stock car is how it came from the factory. so by any other meaning its not stock then

so as long as motor isnt touched or tore into, to me its stock.....ie stock pistons, stock heads, stock cam, stock intake. to me thats stock

I'm running the 76 with 30# ers and it works great. If you are planning on doing more mods in the future and you really want it, just go ahead and get it. I would recommend upgrading throttle body, air intake etc. if you want to see some immediate gains from it.

On the setup you have the you should go ahead and get the C&L. I would make a bigger diff. if you had a aftermarket or Cobra intake. It looks like you getting rid of the exhaust, which I know made a diff. , Right? I have researched the C&L and it works well as long as you keep the stock air box. A lot of people who have a cold air intake with the C&L w/ air tube have problems with idle. I have a 93 5.0 with cobra intake, 3:73, pulleys. I just added headers and high flow cats and what a diff. that has made. I have the stock TB and MAF, those are my next buys. I am going with 76 C&L w/airtube, and Ford 65mm. TB.

yeah i think i am going to get it. i have a cold air intake now but i was going to get the whole c&l kit. the mass air meter the inlet pipe and the k&n filter. i have a 70mm TB which is a little big for my car but im just going to leave it on there because i dont want to buy a 65mm and waste money. i tryed to trade a friend that didnt know anything about cars but he didnt feel like it..oh well. but yeah the exhaust is nice and i like it. i am also going to get the 76mm. has anyone bought from www.c-f-m.com ? they have the c&l on there for like $260.
