Help! New Starter Still Sticking
Okay to start things, when i would start the car i would have to hold the key for a about a second and a half before it would start, and then it would stick for about 2 to 3 seconds after before the starter would disengage. I just finished putting in a brand new starter about an hour ago, and now it starts instantly, but it still sticks for 2 - 3 seconds before it'll disengage. What could possibly be causing this? Is it possible the starter moved a hair when i was tightning the screws and is not sitting out of place somewhere? Also i noticed theres an oil leak coming from the oil pan, and also (sorry for my terminology, this is my first car to learn on so im not sure the names of everything) the metal plate the meets up with the tranny before the oil pan there, it's somewhat warped, im guessing someone maybe had a problem before and stuck something in there and bent it all to wack.. could this maybe be the problem..? ( i believe thats where the flywheel is, correct? )
ANY help much appreciated as im lost on where to begin, thanks

What starter did you use.If it is a latemodel with a solenoid on it, it sounds like is wired wrong. You have to use both solenoids.Battery positive and main power wire to starter on the same post of solenoid on fenderwell, the post out of solenoid on fenderwell to male spade on starter solenoid.
