!! i just moded my engine with gt-40 ported heads,24lbs maf,24lbs delphi injectors,cobra cam,1.7 roller rockers,cold air intake,underdrive pulley's,professional products lower and upper intake,70mm throttle body,1 5/8 headers,magnaflow cat back,190lph fuel pump and a new shift kits for my aode transmission.i would like to know what i have to do to set the idle because my engine goes up and down when the car is not moving. i have also notice when the a/c is on the car seem's going well.i have check all intake vacuum but i have no leak.is there something with the aode setting??thanks!!

 

Well it depends on the year of your mustang. If its the 94' with the 302 then it could be your computer. I had the same problem. The computers they put on the first year of that body style didn't take well to modifications. If it is a 94' then I suggest replacing the computer. Either get a new one, or find one off a junked fox stang' with the 5.0 and it will connect right up.

 

so you have a cobra cam? man you just put a cam in your motor that is tamer then the stock one. cobra is more of a truck cam with its lift and duration. thats why they added the 1.7s to give it that extra umph.

but check your comp. alot of issues with modding a 94/95 ecu. alot do the swap to a fox ecu

 

to many folks all the see is the cobra name that it has to be faster/better

well reset your idle using a hex key..then readjust your TPS

 

i did it but still have up and down.im not sure but do you think the problem is because i have an aode instead of t5?? thank's

 

Its not the tranny its most likely the TPS.What computer do you have

 

i have 1994 gt computer

 

have you cleaned the IAC valve since thats what reads the idle air flow through the tb
