Question need help

i have a 1990 mustang 5.0 and i need to rebuild the transmision i would be nice to get some tips on how to rebuild the t5. and what kind of rebuild kit should i buy

The t5 is super easy to rebuild. just need a little patients if you never did it. Check out www.transtar1.com. they are really good for tranny rebuild kits. when u go to the site go to catologs and then 2006 standard parts cat. page 46-47 has the items for a borgwarner t5. Dont get any hard parts until you open ur tranny up. but they have the bearing and bushings and synchros. y are u rebuilding?

4got to mention if you have the world class t5 they have all the stuff for that 2.

i am rebuilding because it wasnt shifting good then my dad drove it one day and it locked in fifth on him i think either he broke or bent the shifting fork or the snycros went out plus it needed to be rebuilt it would pop out of second and grind reverse

lol damn that sucks usualy poping out is a detent ball quick fix but yea transstar1 has the synchros and hard parts good luck

it called diamond oaks its a technical school for high school kids its pretty nice and it helps because my teacher is a ford master certified technition so i learn alot from him

Yea thats how i learned a few things, some of my teachers are 25+ master cert techs. im finaly getting time to come on here and help instead of been a leech. ive been fixen cars for 9 yrs now and im finally gonna make it legit. good luck wit that tranny.
