you could swap out the stock cam for a b303 cam it is the cam they used in the 93 cobras. the e cam uses the stock lifters, valve springs, and pushrods and rockers. another cheap part would be a new rear gear like a 3.55 and 3.73 headers and a offroad h or x pipe works good for power and a cold air intake is a cheap performance part.

you said b303 than e cam did you mean b303.
that cam would work with cobra intake and plenum.
I heard of a chip you can get what is that all about?
What about heads for this combo(nothing to crazy)

bump ur timing on your distributor run high octane gas and remove your air intake silencer for starters. Get GT40P heads off a 5.0 explorer and the upper and lower intake thats a pretty good budget build for starters

B-cam was not used in the Cobra.

You should not use stock valve springs with an E-cam.

The E-cam was not used on a Cobra either.

ok .. where is the air intake silencer and what will removing it do? give you more power? just curious... also did you mean get the heads and upper and lower intake off a 5.0 explorer or just the heads? are the heads a direct fit? and do they give it a noticable power gain? im also tryin to get some easy mods. thanks

The air silencer is behind the air filter plenum. It is attached by, don't quote me, two screws. Its been more than ten years since I pulled mine, so I don't remember. It was not hard taking it out. The heads and intake of a 5.0 Explorer are a direct fit and will give you a noticeable power gain.
