Okay can anyone throw out a list of everything needed to do the 73mm i believe caliper upgrade and where I can get it all from. I can get stuff through napa I just dont know what all i need. Thanks

 

you need 73mm calipers and pads. thats it. it would be a smart idea to get a larger mc as well. youll also need a bunch of brake fluid if you put in a new mc because you will need to bleed the entire brake system

hey i didnt see it anywhere in the links, but if i switch to the new calipers can i still run the regular 92 mustang brake rotors???

 

as long as its the 73mm calipers they mention in the link, then yes

 

Get the calipers and master cylinder. I also went with stainless steel brake lines up front and a proportioning valve to dial in the front/rear balance. I also had to get the parts for the 11 inch rotors and rear disc brake conversion as I have an 1986 GT. That was a must as I was doing open track events. I ran that combination for a couple of years. My 10 inch rotors and rear drums that were stock on the 1986 5.0's didn't due the trick on the track and I fried them on a regular basis.

I have since upgraded yet again to the M2300K Mustang Cobra Brake Kit. Pounding on the shock tower to get the volume booster installed was a freakin' nightmare.

 

Just say you need the calipers and master cylinder for a 1988 Lincoln Mark VII. That will get you the 73 mm calipers and correct master cylinder. That's what I did. Same year for the proportioning valve if you want to go with that. You will need some fittings for the proportioning valve. Stainless Steel Brakes has the stainless steel lines and you could get the valve from them as well.
