aode help
I just got my 410 gears in the mail and want to know what I need to get the speedo right so when I put these gears in Im good ,,,also I would like to know what shift kit I should try to get for my aode also
you can't correct it.... the most you can correct to with a ford speedo 8t driven gear is for 3.27's
you'd need to replace the drive gear which on auto's is machined on the shaft... not clipped on like a 5-speed. if you bought a new output shaft that was 6t then you could tear down the trans and fix it... but the only other choice is a high dollar speedo calibration box. i think they are about $500 installed
if you use the jeep 23t it will be corrected to 3.55's... but still be 15% or so off... and on aod cars might not last 10k miles. but you could just replace it every time it gets ground up... would be closer to actual... about half way but reduce half of the "phantom" miles your putting on the car
