Default fuel pressure regulator

im not sure if there was already something explaining this but how do you relieve the fuel pressure so that i can replace the fuel pressure regultor?

right behind the alt there is a shreador valve on the metal lines, depress it

Or, you can pull the fuel pump relay, start the vehicle, when it dies, remove the gas cap and have at it

alright. i think ill try it tomorow after school. so its right behind the alternator on a metal fuel line? im also guessing its a rubber piece?

Metal, looks like a tire valve. It should have a black screw-on cap.

I dont know if you have a replacement for it already or not, BUT


I have a like new aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator i'd be willing to hook you up with for a great price, PM me if you want.


It was leaking, so i figured it was faulty so i bought a Kirban and replaced it, but when i removed it i discovered it was just a pinched 50 cent o-ring .
