Default Trick Flow?

Doing some research on building a 5.0 block stroker and seeing that trick flow is making alot more than heads now. Has anyone ran a complete trick flow combo? Heads, intake, pistons, crank, etc. Also how does trick flow compare to other high perf head out there. Heard alot of hype but dont know anyone personnally that has em.

Trick flow has been know to make good products for the money, but i never heard anything about there crank kits, are they forged or cast and as for the heads they do make decent heads but i would look into something alittle better"eldey's,AFR'S,etc." if was going to spend that type of money, but that IMO.

i belive the trickflows, out of the box, are actually better than the standard edelbrocks.

Yeah but the eldebrocks have more potential when worked alittle bit,and im not talking a 800 dollar port job, just a little cleaning up of the ports and port matching anything plus alot of guys go with the eldeys because of no pistion to valve clearnce promblems and they accept pedistal mount rockers.

Havent actually seen a crank kit yet. So far all I have seen in a kit is the heads, intake (upper and lower), timing chain, roller rockers, pushrods, valve covers, and gasket set. The trick flow crank I found is a 4340 aircraft quality steel forged and claims to be good up to 1,000 hp. Have no aspirations of going that high though. The pistons are also forged from 2618 aluminum alloy 4.030 bore. Both of these are seperates though. Found a nice block with 4.115" bore and 8.2" deck but having trouble locating pistons to fit.

You mean Edelbrocks with a stock cam and roller rockers don't have valve clearance problems right?

I ran trick flows on my last small block chevy and they were awesome. I plan on running Trick Flows on my 302 and from what I have read trick flows have no issues with piston to valve clearence on the ford engines. In fact in one place I read it specifically states no issues with clearence.
