did you blow a fuse??? also the taurus needs high amp fuse cause initially when it comes on, current spikes between 40-60 amps for high speed operation and if you used a low amp fuse it may have popped it

sounds like you need a good course on EL-101 THEN.........troubleshooting electrical circuits is simple if you understand what your circuit is comprised of...ie, what triggers component operation?? verify all power and grounds?? and once you know what part of the circuit triggers operation....how is it wired??? usually a relay, via inside the controller. you need to verify/find where your flow of current is stopping......either through an open, faulty component or high resistance due to a bad connection, insufficient gauge wire or bad ground, you've stated nothing in relation to the tests you have or should of run to verify what you have checked / stated is good, if you have not tested your electrical circuit with a test light or DVOM none of your Assumptions can be considered VALID!!

well i tested every connection with my test light. i have solid connections (power) to every wire that needs 12 volts wired to the ignition and the main power wire is ran to the battery. on the dccontroller the power stops at the relay wires going to the fan. i put the t stat wire in boiling water to see if it would activate the switch but it didn't.

if you wired the switch correctly, then maybe the contoller is bad

Must be bad if power goes in and doesn't come out. I use a $30 Hayden controller from Pepboys and it works fine. On at 205, off at 195.
