Default X303 Cam

I bought this cam and it is getting installed today and should be done by early this afternoon..I had teh E cam..I just wanted more..
Lift on E= .498"
Lift on X= .542"

Am I going to see anymore of a power gain? Or an even more increase in my idle? And, if any of you have this cam or know someone that does..any experiences with it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I assume you aren't going to run stock valve springs with this cam .... right? Also, have you had your pistons notched for valve clearance? Pretty aggressive cam for the street, hope you like a choppy idle. Putting it another way. Ford discribes the E cam as a good idle. I personally think its a little choppy, but just about right for the street in my opinion. They discribe the X cam as having a fair idle. In other words a ***** out race cam, which doesn't start making power until 3500 RPM. A cam like that will be worthless without heads, intake and fuel to match. Good Luck.

Oh no of course not, I didn't have stock valve springs with the E either..And yes, my pistons are getting notched for the clearance during the install..and oh yes, I love the choppy idle..can't wait till a ricer pulls up to me at red light ..I have the intake and heads..fuel is next..what size injectors do you suggest? Thank you.

Anybody else?

T-minus 1 hour till install is complete!!!

Even a dumb a$$ ricer is going to know not to mess with that car. Can't really hide the lope. As far as injectors go, can't help you there. I'm injector challenged. 85 Carb'd car here.
And dude, stop counting down the seconds ...... LOL , Your a nervous wreck. What happens if they say something came up and its not going to be done until tommorrow?
