Default Another Vacuum QUESTION???

First off thanks for looking.....
I have looked for 2 days trying to find what i need looking through old posts but have not been successful.
The Vacuum (TEE) that is on the bottom of the upper intake manifold
has a cap on it,(the nipple that is facing the firewall) is that cap supposed to be there? My biggest issue is that there is oil blowing past that cap and is saturating the driver side valve cover.
If it is supposed to be capped why would there be enough oil blowing past to saturate the valve cover? Any help would be appreciated thank you.

On that "T" I belive that 1 side is suppose to be capped, and the other goes to the PCV valve.

If oil is blowing past the cap then why not get a tighter fitting cap?

Hi,

Once you have the PCV system hooked up correctly, id deffinately replace the PCV itself as when there clogged, you will get blow-by coming from other parts of the engine. Looking at an air filter and seeing oil on it is a good sign of a clogged PCV valve or an inopperative PCV system .
