So I increased my timing today to 12 degrees and it feels like I lost power. It doesn't jump like it used to. Any opinions?<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0">

Do you havve a performance cam installed? Reason I ask is that one of the latest Mustang Mags has an article about installing a cam and the benefits of adjusting the timing. The usual theory is advace the timing for more power and retard for less...but what they found was that this isn't always true and they found that advancing the timing actually made the motor lose power.
I'd try backing down the timning starting back at the stock timing and then advancing in 2 degree impliments..see how it runs, keep advancing until you feel it fall off, then back off. You might also want to experiment doing the retard the same way too.

yes you need good fuel. stock setting is 10* timing. i cant see 12* causing lose in power. did you put the spout back on? how did you adjust your timing? it should line up with the pointer. and adjusting timing usuallys moves the power curve up or down. depending on where it is set

yeah if you pulled the sensor, you should be just fine. I adjusted my timing a long time ago to 12 and felt a little more, not sure whats up, but if you think you lost a lot, go back to 10.

It seems like there is somthin wrong there....mabe your timing light is off or somthin....i know all cars are diffrent but i am running 15 degrees on my 93 and it works great... as long as i run 92octane....only goin up2 degrees shouldnt hurt it.....mabe your balancer has sliped abit and your way off....somthin to check..

I'm running 91 octane, took the spout connector out, and put it back. And double checked the timing. I set it back to 10 and it feels alot better. I'm probably going to keep it there untill I can take it to a dyno.
