Default Front Lights problem

I have a 90 gt and i am haveing problems with the four lights in the front. When i turn on the lights they no longer light up. The tails and lisense lights work as they should. When i hit the turn signals they work but not when they are turned on. Checked all the fuses and they are working properly. I have looked at the headlight switch and havent been able to get them to work either. Help Please!!

Are you talking about the amber corner lights or you headlights? If it's your corner lights I'm having a similar problem.

I am having trouble deciphering your post. Will your front turn signals work at all? If they wont work at all but the fuse is good, then check the bulb itself. Check for 12v at the light plug. Pull the bulb and connect your multitester to the lead in the plug and to ground and see if you have 12v when the headlight switch is on. If you have 12v, then replace the bulb. Both bulbs can go at once as I have experienced. If you don't have 12v test the headlight switch with your multitester and shop manual wiring diagram. Trust me, a wiring diagram is worth every penny when you are trying to diaganose wiring problems.

Yes the front turn signals and flashers work properly. But when the driving lights are on they do not turn on. I test at the socket for power when they should be on and i get a ground on both sides of the switch. I have also tested power at switch and it seems to be putting a signal out.

Current follows the path of least resistance. You said you have ground on both sides of the switch. Check continuity on the switch. Remove the positive cable from the battery. Do you get a beep from one post on the switch to ground and a beep from the other post to the positive cable? Dont forget to replace the fuses before this test. You should get continuity. Are the driving lights powered in a NON stock way? Are they powered off the parking lights? Some people rewire the switch to allow the driving lights and the high beams to run at the same time.

Well after looking at the diagram i found the problem. There is a connector going to the lights that was not connected all the way. That also solves the problem i was having with my headlights of course i rewired them. Looks like i will be ripping the wires out i put in lol

Don't be discouraged with this self induced problem. Making mistakes is the quickest way to learn how to do it the right way. No one likes to re-do work they did. A properly made connection will withstand the vibrations cars face. One bit of advice, electrical tape does not make good connections.
