Default Need help with Nitrous

I have a '90 lx hatch with bone stock motor. Ive gotten in touch with a guy about getting spray. I only race this car, so he suggests a 175 dry NOS kit. I'll have the money next friday...planned on a MSD 6AL, blaster2 coil, compucar heater...do i need a fuel pump? and I've heard of "hobbs" switches? Are Compucar kits any good-they seem cheaper. Any ideas or advice would be helpful. Planning on a C4 & converter swap in future...but im not too worried about this motor because planning on 347 project next summer...thanks

I perfer an NX set up..175 shot and you;ll need a new engine fairly soon..I would put in a 190lph pump, new fuel filter, I would get a msd coil so it a plug and play set up with a 5800 rev limit I would use a 100 shot with fuel pressure @ 38-42 also a new set of plugs and not the boush set go 1 step cooler and run about 7 degrees timing. also if you plan on doing alot of spray, investment in nos timer to set the nitrous to come on about 1.0-1.1 sec into the run to help with tires spin and launches also a progressive timer can hit you with a 35 shot or so at the starting line and progess with you thru the run dropping more nitrous threw it all..makes for a good clean fast run <edited><editID>vfast</editID><editDate>37946.8984606481</editDate></edited>

She won't last long with a 175 shot. Screw the dry setups anyway. Get a 125hp non-adjustable Nitrous Works "plate" system. I only say to get the non-adjustable because it is just too damn easy to get greedy with the adjustable kits and put bigger jets in them. And trust me, if it will let you make more HP you will do it. The NX that vfast mentioned is a great setup too, but it's adjustable. </P>
