Default Explorer Intake

What's the deal with the Explorer intake? I've heard its the same as the '93 Cobra intake and is a good set-up. Do these intakes bolt right on a fox 5.0 (say like '88-'93)? Are some year Explorer intakes better than others? Are they cheap or easy to find? Thanks for any input.

they are not like the corba but are close to a gt-40..I think there is a vacuum line in no 5 that's the one you want I can't rememeber what years it came on..you can get them for 150-225 ok intake or your can find a sweet profressional products intake for around 279.00 that is a knock off of the edelbrock

with the explorer i think all you have to do is switch it around. since the motor in the 95-96 explorer, moutanineer have the gt-40p motors

i would rather have the Explorer intake than the GT-40. The GT-40 flows a little more stock, but you can't port it like the Explorer intake. Hell, I just bought a cut/ported/welded intake off of the Corral. Can't wait for it to get here.

same thing with explorer heads the gt-40ps. i was asking bout them earlier on the board and everyone just had bad stuff to say about them and nothing good. but if they can be purchased at junk yards or on ebay and they produce more hp than stock then why not? i mean im not trying for some crazy set up on my car i have heard they r good for 50 horses over stock. and thats good for around the 200-350 mark. so how does the intake compare to the trick flow track heat manifolds?? i was looking at a trick flow track heat.
