try a tune up and check your timing

 

check fuel pressure also

 

i just put in a new fuel pump.

 

did you change the filter.

i am starting to think its the plugs n wires. are there any plugs and wires that perform better than others ?

 

bunbches and bunches. i would stick with the stock replacement plugs and go with some accel 8.8 wires. or the ford motorsport wires are also a good choice.
